The name, Tiny Squirrel Candle Co., is a tribute to my Grandma Connie, we used to call her "Squirrel". So the image of a cute, fluffy little creature is near and dear to our hearts. (Not to leave my other Grandma Emmy out, the development of my own business has definitely come from her.)

The company has naturally developed out of a hobby that stemmed from helping my sister out with her own small business. I began to help her sell at craft shows and events, and once she began producing organic sugar scrubs, I was hooked! 

Candle making came organically to me, which is not something that often happens. My background in the wine business has truly helped me to develop complex and cohesive scents. Understanding olfactory senses and how different scents react and harmonize with one another, has been an extremely useful skill in candle making. This is something I learned through the wine industry, how to "taste", or in this case, "smell".  

I hope that you enjoy my candles half as much as I enjoyed making them! Thank you for supporting local, small businesses like this one.
